Gypsy tells the story of stage mother Rose Hovick, her two daughters June and Louise, and their vaudeville act. With music by Stephen Sondheim and Jule Stein, and a script by Arthur Lawrence, it has been regarded as the greatest musical of all time. The original Broadway production in 1959 starred Ethel Merman. The most recent revival starred Patti LuPone in 2008.

Hello, Dolly!

Hello, Dolly!, set in 1880s New York, tells the story of matchmaker Dolly Levi as she manipulates her friends in order to get Horace Vandergelder to fall in love with her. The show is based on the play The Matchmaker and features music by Jerry Herman. The original Broadway production opened in 1964 starring Carol Channing. The most recent revival starred Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce and closed in August of 2018.

Sweeney Todd tells the story of Mr. Todd as he seeks revenge upon the man who stole his wife and daughter, with the help of Mrs. Lovett and her meat pie shop. The show was written by Hugh Wheeler with music by Stephen Sondheim. The original Broadway production in 1973 starred Len Cariou as Sweeney and Angela Lansberry as Mrs. Lovett. The most recent revival starred Michael Cerveris and Patti LuPone in 2005.

Annie

Annie tells the story of an orphan who is liberated from a "hard knock life" when she is invited to stay at the home of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. The show was written by Thomas Meehan with music by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin. The original Broadway production opened in 1976 and starred Andrea McArdle, Reid Shelton, and Dorothy Loudon. The most recent revival was in 2012.

Funny Girl

Funny Girl follows the story of performer Fanny Brice, her journey to becoming a star of The Ziegfeld Follies and her marriage to Nick Arnstein. The show was written by Isobel Lennart with music by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill. The original Broadway production in 1964 starred Barbra Streisand as Fanny Brice. It has never been revived.

The Music Man

The Music Man tells the story of Harold Hill, a traveling con-man, who cons the people of River City into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys band with no intention of leading the band as promised. The script and music were written by Meredith Wilson. The original Broadway production in 1957 starred Robert Preston and Barbara Cook.

The Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a masked man, who lives beneath a Paris opera house and tutors chorus singer Christine Daaé while terrorizing everyone else. The Phantom of the Opera was written and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Richard Stilgoe, and Charles Hart. It is the longest running Broadway musical and has never closed since its opening in 1986. Michael Crawford and Sara Brightman starred in the original cast.

The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music tells the story of Maria, an aspiring nun, who is called away from the abbey to be a governess for the von Trapp family. The Sound of Music is the last and most famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. The original Broadway production in 1959 starred Mary Martin and Theodore Bickel. The most recent revival in 1998 starred Rebecca Luker and Michael Sibbery.

Les Misérables

Les Misérables tells the story of Jean Valjean, after his release from enslavement, and his quest for redemption. It was written by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil. The original Broadway production in 1987 starred Colm Wilkinson, Judy Kuhn, and Randy Graff. The most recent revival in 2014 starred Ramin Karimloo, Samantha Hill, and Caissie Levy.

West Side Story

West Side Story tells the love story of Tony, a member of the Jets, and Maria, the sister of a member of the Sharks, the Jets' rivals. It was written by Arthur Lawrence with music by Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein. The show is based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The original Broadway production in 1957 starred Carol Lawrence, Larry Kert, and Chita Rivera. Another revival is scheduled to open in 2020.
